OSSTF and the MOE announced today that they have reached an agreement in principle, over issues of concern including sick days, unpaid days, maternity leave, gratuities and local bargaining. The Globe + Mail reports: Deal?!?
Yay or nay? The OSSTF members will decide.

Well, we've heard this before, so one is prudent to withhold judgement. Especially in my case where we have the family all over + about to sit down for Easter dinner. Well here's hoping for the best with more details to follow later. Now to dinner.....

Hi David. I have really enjoyed following your blog for the last few months. I will say however that I will be very disappointed if any Catholic union reaps the benefits of the public school teachers hard work and sacrifice. Whether Catholic teachers agreed to the MOU is irrelevant. They still had an opportunity to stand up with their fellow public colleagues and at least not performed the extras. If they really do have a "me too" clause my views of the Catholic teachers who did the extras will forever be tarnished. Thank you for being one of the few who did stand with us David. It is very much appreciated.
If, as the premier says, the OSSTF agreement is truely revenue neutral the MOU clause will not be a factor.
My question is: did Dalton McGuinty take his gratuity when he quit??? Where can we find this out?
McGuinty is still a sitting MPP. I don't think he will cash out until he loses or quits.
