Teachers: Support CUPE's WTR Sanctions!

Teachers: CUPE has got mojo! However, we need to support our education workers so they can get a fair contract. Please note the WTR sanctions below. They go into effect for our brothers and sisters today. DO NOT FULFILL ANY OF THEIR DUTIES DURING THE STRIKE ACTION!!! If ordered to do so, you would be required to contact your local union office immediately! These sanctions include:

[as shared by locals + posted on newstalk 1010 website]

For more information see the CUPE website @ Sept 10th!

NOTES:

CUPE's 55,000 education support workers include our school custodians, educational assistants, early childhood educators, office administrators, instructors, and speech pathologists in the public, Catholic and French schools!

It is amazing that our education support workers have to ask to see if their at risk students have safety plans! What will be even more interesting to see if they are actually proper, comprehensive ones! All power to you! As our teachers will know, this effects us too, every day!

CUPE Education Workers: Expected volunteer work?!? Regular phone calls and emails from the bosses at home?!? Unpaid meetings?!? Before or after school hour work expectations??? Having to insist you take your lunch and breaks as a part of WTR???

How much are you paid?!?!?!? Jeez, when did the board's last slaves die?????

LET's SUPPORT OUR EDUCATION WORKERS: A FAIR CONTRACT NOW!!!

Yeah right. Teachers are really helping us by signing net loss "deals"! They are setting a real good tone for our bargaining indeed!
