Meet north of Queens Park/ South of Bloor West at Queens Park Crescent and Charles Street. The march will proceed east on Bloor, south down Yonge, then west along Wellesley St. to the provincial legislature for a rally. [MAP]
WHY:
Join Grand Marshall Jodie Emery! March to end the unjust Canada wide cannabis arrests! [JE] The GGM website describes the march as a "celebration embracing marijuana culture as a personal lifestyle choice. Participants can unite to discuss, promote, entertain and educate consumers and non consumers alike." [LINK]
Decriminalization? Amnesty? We want Canada's heritage growers, producers, sellers and our medical/ recreational users to be included and consulted in the Trudeau governments legalization plans! No to the Neo Lib Corporate Weed Agenda!
Over 730 different cities from 63 countries have participated since 1999. This is the 19th Toronto March, one of the world's largest in years past. Let's make sure we are heard here in Toronto again, as the federal and provincial governments decide what they are going to do, on the road to legalization next year!
