Hello readers!
Just a few notes from the dog days of summer. Like most of you I am enjoying some real down time. It's hard to believe the Labour Day Parades are only about 2 weeks away! Janet and I have gotten a housesitter. We are about to hit the tarmac overseas. So you will be seeing some travel blogs here soon from London and Paris. We are very excited!
There are a few more guest blogs coming up too! A first hand investigative report on the long drawn out Toronto Plaza Hotel workers strike, by a teacher who even personally goes inside to ask the boss just what the heck is going on! Love it!!!. Another is on hi jinks at the TDSB by a teacher from the board. Maybe one from the TCDSB too, a real hair raiser, but I'm still waiting to hear back on that one. Anyway, there will still be some goodies coming up before my regular PQ and teacher union coverage continues, along with the new school year for most of you in September. Stay tuned!
BTW, if you are thinking of writing a guest blog or have one ready please don't hesitate to still send it in!
A lot of folks have been going through my blog archives below this column. Just scroll down to find it. There are lot of interesting reports and links on teacher union and political issues and intrigues going back to spring 2011. Check it out if you haven't all ready.
Hope you are enjoying the holidays like I am!
Yours,
David
